The Max M. Fisher College of Business community gathered to recognize recipients of the 2022 Fisher Alumni Awards — five individuals who were honored for their outstanding achievements, career accomplishments and dedication to their communities.

“Each one of our recipients has demonstrated a commitment to Fisher and Ohio State that is truly extraordinary,” said Anil K. Makhija, dean and John W. Berry, Sr. Chair in Business. “These are titans in their industries, servants to their communities, friends to our college and champions for principled leadership.”

“They embody the skills and perspectives that we hope we’re building in our students today."

Professional Achievement Alumni Award

  • Open/Close Stephanie Revish (BSBA '02, MAcc '02)
    Vice President, Finance, Target

    Stephanie Revish headshotStephanie is the vice president of financial planning and analysis at Target, a role in which she is responsible for partnering across the enterprise to optimize and prioritize over $4 billion in annual capital spend while also driving growth via strategic market positioning and valuation for Target’s overall portfolio of approximately 2,000 stores. Prior to joining Target, Stephanie spent time at Cardinal Health, Henry Schein, PwC and the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC).

    Stephanie participates in leadership efforts focused on the advancement of the Columbus community, mentorship and diversity in the workplace. She was awarded the 2020 Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Luminary Award, the 2020 National Diversity Council’s Top 50 Financial Leaders Award, and she received the Alumnus of the Year Award from Fisher’s Project THRIVE.

    Stephanie earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration and Master of Accounting at Fisher and is a certified public accountant (inactive). Stephanie, a graduate of Leadership Columbus, lives in Powell with her husband, Jerome, and two daughters, Madison and Sydney.

Entrepreneurship Alumni Award

  • Open/Close Narayan Surabhi (EMBA ’10)
    Co-Founder, VNDLY

    Narayan Surabhi headshotNarayan founded VNDLY, a software SaaS platform that solves the contingent workforce needs for enterprises of all sizes in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2017. Together with his co-founder, Narayan raised approximately $60 million in funding and scaled the organization to 200 people before it was acquired by Workday in 2021 for $510 million.

    Prior to his entrepreneurial journey, Narayan had spent more than 15 years in the corporate world where he led $250 million global retail and consumer portfolios for CSC. His passion and prior experiences led him to uncover the possibilities of modern technology and the non-employee workforce.

    Narayan earned his Executive MBA from Fisher in 2010. When he isn’t solving problems through technology, he enjoys spending time with his family exploring captivating places and cultures around the globe.

Global Business Excellence Alumni Award

  • Open/Close Christopher W. Phillips (BSBA ’97)
    Vice President and General Manager of Geo, Google

    Christopher Phillips headshotChris is vice president and general manager of Geo at Google, where he is responsible for leading Google's worldwide portfolio of geospatial and mapping products, technology and business including Google Maps, Google Earth, Google Street View and Google Maps Platform. Under Chris's leadership, the team is transforming the future of maps for its active community of more than one billion users and creating more immersive, visual experiences for consumers, developers, enterprises, automakers and cities.

    Before joining Google, he was chief product and technology officer and executive vice president at SiriusXM and Pandora where he was responsible for leading the product, engineering and technology delivery. Chris has also held leadership roles at Amazon, Intuit, Workspeed and Accenture.

    Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fisher.

Excellence In Service Alumni Award

  • Open/Close Joyce Mace (BSBA ’84)
    Retired Partner, PwC

    Joyce Mace headshotJoyce began her 36-year professional career in the Columbus office of Price Waterhouse and was admitted to the partnership of PwC in 1998 as a lead client service tax partner. During her PwC career, Joyce was selected for a tour of duty in the Washington National Tax Services office and held various client service and internal management leadership roles while working in the Detroit, Atlanta and Dallas offices.

    After retiring in 2020, Joyce joined the Founders Group of the Fisher Leadership Initiative and became a liaison for United to Learn, a Dallas-based education nonprofit with a stated mission of changing lives by transforming the relationship between schools and community. She and her dog, Bella, are a registered therapy team and love to visit students and teachers at J.P. Starks Elementary School in Dallas.

    Joyce earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ohio State in 1984.

Distinguished Leadership Alumni Award

  • Open/Close James A. McNamara (BSBA ’85)
    Retired Partner, Advisory Director, Goldman Sachs

    James McNamaraJim is an advisory director at Goldman Sachs, serving as president and trustee of the board of trustees of Goldman Sachs Trust, Goldman Sachs Trust II and Goldman Sachs ETF Trust. Previously, Jim was global head of the Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) Third Party Distribution business, where he was responsible for the global distribution of mutual funds, separately managed accounts, retirement products and sub-advisory services through third-party intermediaries such as banks, trust companies and broker-dealers.

    He joined Goldman Sachs in GSAM in 1998 and was named managing director in 2000 and partner in 2006.

    Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Jim was a senior vice president and eastern regional sales manager for the Dreyfus Institutional Service Corporation. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Investment Company Institute and The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business Dean's Advisory Council.

    Jim earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ohio State in 1985.
