There are many options available to students to help fund their MAcc education, ranging from part-time jobs to scholarships, fellowships, and federal and personal loans.

Tuition

The total cost of enrollment in the Fisher MAcc program is determined by the student's residency status. Estimated tuition and fees are based on the previous academic year and are subject to change.

Estimated tuition and fees are for 31 credit hours for full-time enrollment. Tuition is based on the University Registrar's fee schedule.

FOREVER BUCKEYE

If a student graduated from an Ohio High school and will be a resident of Ohio as of the first day of the term attending, a student will be considered an Ohio resident whether they lived in Ohio prior to the beginning of the term or not. Learn more >

MILITARY APPLICANTS

Military applicants will automatically qualify for in-state tuition under the Ohio G.I. Promise. Fisher takes a deliberate approach to recruiting highly-qualified military servicemen and women. Learn more >

All admitted MAcc applicants are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships; a scholarship application is not required except for the Deloitte Foundation Accounting Scholars award. Recipients are notified prior to their admissions response deadlines.

Fisher Graduate Assistantships (50% tuition coverage, 10-hours a week)

The Master of Accounting (MAcc) program awards a handful of Graduate Assistant (GA) appointments each year. A GA appointment is 10 hours per week and provides a 50% tuition waiver and a monthly stipend. Depending on the financial aid budget each year, all admitted applicants are automatically considered for GA appointments available each year; an application is not required. 

Merit-Based Cash Awards

The MAcc program offers limited, merit-based cash awards to select incoming students. MAcc awards/scholarships may range from $3,000 up to $15,000. The Admissions Committee will use your application to determine whether you qualify for these awards. There is no additional application or information needed from the student for this consideration, but we encourage you to complete your application to create the best opportunity for consideration for this competitive financial support. 

Deloitte Foundation Accounting Scholars Program

Ohio State's Fisher College of Business is proud to collaborate with the Deloitte Foundation to champion diverse talent entering the CPA profession. Together, Fisher and the Deloitte Foundation are providing a limited number of full scholarships  (excluding books and living expenses) for selected students interested in pursuing Fisher’s one-year master’s in accounting. In the spirit of supporting a diverse student population, the program endeavors to consider an expansive pool of candidates. This scholarship program can help students meet the 150 credit hour requirement for CPA eligibility.

Education Assistance Scholarships (ABO)

Administered by the Accountancy Board of Ohio, Education Assistance Scholarships are awarded based on the following criteria: Ohio residency, financial need, admission to a graduate accounting program in the state of Ohio, and a commitment to take the CPA exam in Ohio.

Other Accounting Scholarships

Many organizations offer scholarships to encourage the pursuit of an accounting education. For example, the AICPA website provides a listing of several scholarship opportunities.

Ohio State University Fellowships

Fisher College of Business may nominate its strongest MHRM candidate for The Ohio State University’s fellowship programs. These fellowships provide a full waiver of tuition and general fees, plus a monthly stipend ($2,000) for one year. The application deadlines for fellowship nominations are much earlier than all other application deadlines.   

Fellowship guidelines: The nominee must have a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.6 (on a 4.0 scale). Those submitting test scores should score in the top 25% on the GMAT or GRE to support their nomination to the University Fellowship competition.

Loans

Some MAcc students use loans to finance their education, either in total or in part, and many sources of loans exist. Federal loans are available for domestic students only.

International Student Loan Options
