The Fisher College of Business Office of Career Management has developed Fisher Futures, a unique and innovative program to aid you as a top finance student at Fisher in attaining experience in the investment banking industry. While the application process is lengthy and selective, we invite you to apply to become a member of the distinguished Fisher Futures program.

Information Sessions
Information Sessions are held in the Office of Career Management Conference Room in 150 Gerlach Hall. The sessions offer you the opportunity to learn more about investment banking, the Fisher Futures program and the application process.

Freshmen: Investment Banking Prep (IBP) Program

  • IBP - Introduction to Investment Banking

    What is IBP? The Investment Banking Program (IBP) is a student-led, seminar-style program committed to introducing undergraduate students to and preparing them for a career in the investment banking industry and admission into the Fisher Futures Program. The program is 15-weeks in length and lasts from the middle of the spring semester of a student’s freshman year until the autumn semester of their sophomore year.

    Who's it for? The IBP program is open to all freshmen who want to learn about investment banking - no application is required.

    IBP Kick-Off Meeting: The Investment Banking Prep Program (IBP) 2020 Kick-off will be at 9:00 pm on 2/25/2020 in Hitchcock 031.

    Program and Requirements

    Once selected to join Fisher Futures, you will receive individual coaching preparing you to compete for a summer internship and thus be well positioned to secure a full-time career position in the investment banking industry upon graduation.

    Requirements:

    • You must be admitted as a Business Major with a Specialization in Finance and/or Accounting by Fall 2019
    • You must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA
    • You must be available for a summer internship in 2021 (May - August)
    • You must be planning to graduate by May 2022

    If you are accepted into Fisher Futures, you will:

    • Compete for a Summer 2021 internship in the investment banking industry
    • Participate in a Spring Semester class to prepare for interviews in investment banking as well as to gain an understanding of the industry
    • Train in financial modeling with Wall Street Prep
    • Take part in trips to New York City and Chicago to visit investment banks and network with Fisher alumni in the industry.
    • Be featured on the Career Management Web site, including your resume, bio and photo

      Interning at BNP Paribas, New York, in Summer 2020.


      Veronica is a junior at Fisher College of Business pursuing a BSBA in Finance and a minor Economics. She is originally from Venezuela; however, she completed High School in Florida. As a sophomore, she was admitted into the highly selective Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and has received certification in financial and valuation modeling through Wall Street Prep.

      Outside of class, Veronica has been an active member of the Hispanic Business Student Association, being the former treasurer and now the Vice President. During Summer 2019, she traveled to Auckland, New Zealand to work on a research project for the American Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, starting June, Veronica interned at Scotiabank in Lima, Peru in the Business Transformation Unit. She was part of the Strategy & Key Projects team, where she assisted with different projects for the different areas of the bank, such as M&A Investment Banking and Commercial Banking.

      Michael Bauer is a junior in the Fisher College of Business pursuing a BSBA with specializations in Finance and Economics. As a sophomore, Michael was accepted into the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and has received a certification in financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep. Michael is also a member of the 23rd Honors Cohort and currently serves as Managing Director of the TMT sector for Buckeye Capital Investors.

      Michael has previous experience working as a Strategy and M&A Intern in the Corporate Development group of Fortune Brands Home & Security and as an Investment Banking Spring Analyst at Copper Run Capital. Last summer, Michael worked at Sopris Capital Associates as a Private Equity Summer Analyst in New York.

      Michael will be joining Evercore’s M&A group in New York during the summer of 2020.

      Sam is a junior in the Fisher College of Business from Granville, Ohio studying economics and finance with a minor in music. Sam is currently the Vice President of the OSU Music Producer’s Club, an associate in the energy sector of the Buckeye Capital Investors student organization, and a member of the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program. Sam was also on the OSU Club Boxing team and currently works in OSU’s professional audio recording studio on campus. 

      In the Fall of his sophomore year, Sam interned with the Columbus-based concert promotion company PromoWest Productions as a sales & marketing intern. In the Spring, Sam finished 6th out of over 140 collegiate competitors nationwide in the annual Portfolios with Purpose equity portfolio challenge for charity. Following his Sophomore year, Sam was a risk management intern with Fifth Third Bank at their corporate headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. In the Summer of 2020, Sam will be joining Citi’s Global Markets Division in New York City as a Prime, Futures (sales & trading), and Securities Summer Analyst.

      Austin is a junior at Ohio State University pursuing a degree in accounting. He is a member of The Honors Accounting Program, which facilitates the development of critical thinking and communication skills through challenging coursework and presentation. In his sophomore year, Austin was selected into the selective Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program, and also became certified in financial and valuation modeling through Wall Street Prep. 

      Outside of the classroom, Austin is a member of Buckeye Capital Investors, Ohio State’s premier undergraduate student investment club, where he is a member in the TMT sector. Austin spent this past summer interning at the headquarters of the northeastern-based credit union, Visions Federal Credit Union, where he assisted in their Internal Operations Department. In his free time, Austin enjoys watching football, listening to podcasts, and reading up on the news.

      Jack is a junior in the Fisher College of Business from Rocky River, Ohio pursuing a dual specialization degree in Finance and Economics. As a sophomore, Jack was admitted into the highly competitive Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and completed his certification in financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep. Jack is currently serving as Treasurer for Buckeye Capital Investors, and he is an active project consultant in the Buckeye Undergraduate Consulting Club. 

      Jack spent the summer following his freshman year interning for Elios Financial Group in Westlake, Ohio, and he joined the Bridgeway Management team as a Private Equity Intern in January 2018. Jack is the Founder and Co-Owner of Raney Candle Company, a local business creating and distributing organic soy wax candles housed in recycled cans and bottles. Jack is the developer of a predictive MLB algorithm that he uses to generate returns for a small fund of investors.

      Joanne is a junior in the Fisher College of Business studying Finance and Mathematics. She is currently a member of the Honors Cohort Program, Fisher College’s flagship two-year academic program focused on leadership, service, interpersonal skills, and critical thinking through experiential learning. As a sophomore, Joanne was accepted into the highly selective Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program. She is also an active member of the Buckeye Capital Investors, the Delta Sigma Pi professional fraternity, and is a fellow of the Buckeye Leadership Fellows Program.

      During the summer of 2018, she interned for Tigress Financial Partners, LLC in New York City, completing rotations in their Investment Banking and Global Wealth Management. While she worked on IoT industry researches, due diligence reports, and memorandum preparations on banking side, she was involved with multi-asset investments for high-net-worth clients on wealth management side. In the summer of 2020, she will be joining Citi in New York City as a sales and trading summer analyst.

      Ajay Dakappagari is a junior from Cleveland, OH currently pursuing a specialization in Finance within the Fisher College of Business. As a sophomore, he was accepted into the Fisher Futures program which introduces students to the basics of financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep. For his sophomore summer, he interned with JP Morgan in their Chicago, IL office. Here, he worked within their Asset Based Lending group and was mostly involved with creating financial models and preparing deal screens. 

      Outside of the classroom, Ajay is a member of Buckeye Capital Investors in their Healthcare sector. He is also involved with his business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, where he spends time helping new members refine and develop their professionalism skills while serving as a mentor. Ajay is also a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and enjoys spending his free time watching Cleveland sports, Quentin Tarantino movies and Game of Thrones.

      Grace Gabrielle Gaddis is a junior in the Fisher College of Business from Medina, Ohio pursuing a BSBA in Finance with minors in Economics, Campaigns and Elections, and Leadership. She is currently a member of the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program, the Buckeye Undergraduate Consulting Club, Buckeye Capital Investors and a founding member of the Women’s Investment Network.

      As a sophomore, Grace was accepted into the Girls Who Invest Summer Intensive Program where she attended The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania followed by an internship with American Century Investments on one of the top investment teams in the nation. Through this program, Grace was ranked among the top 150 women nationwide for the finance recruitment season of 2019. Prior to this experience Grace also interned with Copper Run Capital in Columbus, Ohio.

      Grace has accepted an offer and will be interning with Lazard in New York during the summer of 2020.

       

      Patrick Giroux HeadshotPatrick Giroux

      Patrick is a junior from Cincinnati, OH in the Fisher College of Business. He is pursuing a BSBA with a specialization in Finance and a minor in Classical Humanities. This past summer, Patrick interned at a private equity firm in Cincinnati called Orchard Holdings. Orchard is the direct investing arm of a multi-billion dollar family, and they seek to invest capital in businesses with the potential to create substantial long-term value. At Orchard, Patrick was able to get involved in all aspects of the buy-side and worked directly under the senior associates to review investments and contribute to portfolio company management.

      In addition to Fisher Futures, Patrick is a member of the 23rd Honors Cohort, Fisher’s flagship two-year academic program focused on leadership, service, interpersonal skills, and critical thinking through experiential learning. He also serves as the Vice President of Corporate Relations for Buckeye Capital Investors, is involved with the professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi, and is an Evans Scholar. In his free time, Patrick enjoys reading ancient literature and apologetics (his father owns a bookstore) and playing basketball.

      Lucas Good is a third-year student from Avon Lake, Ohio studying Finance and minoring in Economics within the Fisher College of Business. He was accepted into the highly selective to the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and is now certified in financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep. He is a current member of Buckeye Capital Investors where he is an associate in the Energy group. Lucas serves as Director of Finance for his fraternity, Delta Tau Delta, and also holds multiple committee positions. 

      In the summer of 2018, Lucas first gained professional experience working in the Customer Financial Services department of The Sherwin-Williams Company. This past summer, he worked as an Origination Summer Analyst for The Riverside Company, a middle-market private equity firm in Cleveland, Ohio. He spent most of his time researching potential acquisitions and presented his analysis to multiple investment committees of the firm. Outside of the classroom and work, Lucas enjoys traveling, boating, golf, history, and watching sports

      Zack Handorf is a junior in the Fisher College of Business pursuing a BSBA in Finance. He is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. As a sophomore, he was accepted into the highly selective Fisher Futures Investment Banking program and has received certification in financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep.

      Zack is heavily involved out of the classroom. He is also involved in Delta Sigma Pi professional fraternity where he serves on the executive board as the Vice President of Finance. Zack also co-runs the Delta Sigma Pi Investment committee aimed at teaching members about the ins and outs of the public markets; as well as keeping members up to date with relevant economic and financial news.

      The past two summers, Zack worked at Silverstone Capital in Cincinnati, Ohio as an analyst. Silverstone is a sell-side advisory boutique investment bank. During his time with Silverstone, Zack has been staffed on five transactions with companies operating in healthcare, hospitality, audio-visual, bio-tech, and retail.

      Jack Harty is a junior from Louisville, Kentucky.  He is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the Fisher College of Business with a specialization in Accounting and a minor in Economics.  Jack is a member of the Honors Accounting Program, the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program, and Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity. He completed the Wall Street Prep certification in financial modeling and valuation in the Spring of 2019.

      Jack interned with Brown-Forman, one of America’s largest Wine & Spirits companies with 30+ brands including Jack Daniel’s and Woodford Reserve. In the summer and winter of 2018, he worked in their Corporate Tax Department in Louisville, Kentucky.  This past summer he returned to Brown-Forman to work with their Treasury Department. In his free time Jack enjoys swimming, working out, and watching college sports.

      Tom Jomantas is a junior from Barrington, Illinois and is pursuing a degree in Finance from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University.  Since high school, Tom has remained President of a retail startup which received a private equity investment from the IncubatorEDU Program which supplies venture capital funding to high school entrepreneurs.  During his Freshman year of college, Tom became a certified BMW Genius and later joined the sales staff as a full-time sales consultant whilst attending classes full-time.  At Ohio State, Tom remains President and Founding Father of the Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity.  As a sophomore, Tom was admitted into the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program, a highly competitive, faculty-selected program that exposes students to financial modeling, forecasting, and valuation.

      In the summer of 2019, Tom interned for GE Healthcare on the Financial Planning & Analysis team within the Financial Management Program (FMP).  Tom was responsible for analyzing USCAN’s $5.2 billion P&L and developed a systemic process which decreased reporting lag for orders & sales by over 50%, including Zone Financials in the closing pack for the first time in GE Healthcare’s history. Outside of the classroom, Tom enjoys weightlifting daily, working on his BMW, watching football and baseball, and managing his BMW Instagram account with 70,000 followers.

      Bill is a Junior in the Fisher College of Business from Cleveland, Ohio.  He is pursuing a BSBA in Finance is currently a member of the Honors Cohort Program.  In addition to Honors Cohort, Bill is involved with Buckeye Capital Investors, Scarlet and Gray Financial, and the Men’s Club Rugby Team.  He is a member of the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and has received a certification in financial and valuation modelling through Wall Street Prep. 

      In the summer of 2017, Bill interred at Snider-Blake Personnel, a temporary staffing agency in Cleveland.  He returned there the summer of 2018 to assume a bigger role as a Sales intern.  In the summer of 2019, Bill interned at Longbow Research, where he helped different groups through performing channel research and financial models to be used in equity research reports.

      Carson Miller is a junior in the Fisher College of Business from Akron, OH pursuing a BSBA in Finance with a Spanish for Business minor. As a sophomore, Carson was accepted into the highly selective Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and received certification in financial and valuation modeling through Wall Street Prep.

      On campus, Carson is a current member of the Honors Cohort Program, Fisher’s flagship two-year academic program focused on leadership, service, interpersonal skills and critical thinking through experiential learning. Additionally, he serves as the VP of Corporate Relations for the Hispanic Business Student Association and is a Morrill Scholar. In his free time, Carson enjoys golfing and playing tennis.

      This past summer, Carson interned at Huntington National Bank in Columbus, within the Capital Markets division. There he supported various segments of Capital Markets through industry research, modeling, and general due diligence. Next summer, Carson will be joining Citigroup in Houston as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst.

      Kyle Patrick is a junior from Kent, Ohio. He attends the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University, where he is pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance. He is a current member of Delta Sigma Pi Professional Fraternity, where he serves on the investment committee; Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, and is a Fisher College of Business Student Ambassador serving incoming and prospective students on tours and panel discussions. As a sophomore, Kyle was admitted into the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program, a highly-competitive, faculty-selected program that exposes students to financial modeling, forecasting, and valuation.

      In the summer of 2019 Kyle interned with Copper Run Capital, a Columbus-based boutique investment bank specializing in M&A advisory. He spent his Summer in the Cleveland office working on active buy-side and sell-side engagements  with lower middle-market companies. Kyle continued his experience with the firm into the Fall at the Columbus location. Outside of the classroom and work, Kyle enjoys golfing, skiing, exercising, and investing.

       

      Austin PekoAustin Peko

      Austin Peko is a junior from Chesterland, Ohio double majoring in Finance and Economics. He is currently a part of Fisher’s 2nd Honors Finance Cohort, which allows students to work and learn in a concentrated environment with the top professors at the Fisher College of Business. His sophomore year he was accepted into the highly selective Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program where he received certification in financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep. Outside of class, he is an associate in the Energy Sector for Buckeye Capital Investors, Ohio States foremost investment club.

      Austin spent the summer after his freshman year at UBS Financial Services as a management intern. While there, he helped manage the nine branches in the Northeast Ohio region focused on wealth management for high net worth individuals. Since the end of his sophomore year, Austin has been working at the Private Equity firm RiverWest Partners as an Investment Associate where he works with the partners from the valuation phase through execution and then management of the portfolio. In his free time, Austin enjoys mountain biking, golf, traveling, and hanging out with friends.


       

      Anthony PignataroAnthony Pignataro

      Anthony Pignataro is a junior in the Fisher College of Business from Richfield, OH pursuing a BSBA specializing in Accounting with a minor in Chinese. He is a member of the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program and has received a certification in financial and valuation modeling through Wall Street Prep.

      Anthony is also a member of the 54th Accounting Honors Cohort, Fisher’s oldest honors program focused on studying accounting as an intellectual subject by offering challenging coursework to develop critical analytical and communication skills. At Ohio State, he serves as an associate for Buckeye Capital Investors, a director for Buckeye Undergraduate Consulting Club, and has competed in various case competitions. 

      In the summer of 2018, Anthony worked at Parker Hannifn as a Corporate Finance and Accounting Intern. In summer of 2019, he worked at KeyBank as a Corporate Strategy Intern.

      Zachary Schiavello is a Junior from Columbus, Indiana.  He is in the Fisher College of Business pursuing a BSBA in Finance.  As a sophomore, he was accepted into the highly selective Fisher Futures Program and has received his certification in financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep.   

      At Ohio State, Zachary is a member of Buckeye Capital Investors where he is a Vice President in the Industrials sector.    Zachary is also a part of Ohio State’s Business Scholars Program, and has worked as a peer financial coach for Scarlet and Gray Financial. Additionally, he is a member of the professional business fraternity Phi Gamma Nu, where he currently serves as the Director of Investments.

      Zachary spent the summer of 2019 interning with Reams Asset Management, a fixed income asset management firm for institutional investors.  While at Reams, he primarily worked under the credit research team performing credit analysis and market research.  Outside of academics and work, Zachary enjoys golfing, traveling, and supporting the Cincinnati Reds.

      Jack Sheppard is a junior at The Ohio State University pursuing a BSBA in Finance and Economics. He is currently a mentor in the International Affairs Scholars Program, a financial coach with Scarlet and Gray Financial, a participant in the Dean’s Leadership Academy, and a tutor to refugees in the Central Ohio community.

      Jack spent the summer following his Freshman year with Sadella Advisory Services, a boutique M&A advisory firm, in Hong Kong. While there, Jack’s responsibilities included creating presentation materials, conducting research, and producing legal documents. Following sophomore year, Jack joined Stonehenge Partners, a middle market private equity firm located in Columbus, Ohio. At Stonehenge, Jack worked on industry research and analysis and various financial models. Following his Junior year, Jack will be joining RBC Capital Markets in New York City as a summer analyst. Outside of the classroom, Jack enjoys watching football, hiking, skiing, and sailing.

      Julia Stephenson is a junior from Chicago, Illinois pursuing a BSBA with a Finance specialization in the Fisher College of Business as well as an Inequality & Society minor in the Sociology department at Ohio State. She was selected to be in the Fisher Futures Investment Banking program; subsequently, she completed her Wall Street Prep certification in financial and valuation modeling.

      Julia was also selected to be in the 23rd Honors Cohort, Fisher’s flagship academic program that focuses on leadership, service, interpersonal skills, and critical thinking through experiential learning. She enjoys teaching other students about personal finance as a Scarlet & Gray Financial Coach, serving as an academic mentor in her sorority Kappa Alpha Theta, and being a member of the TMT sector in Ohio State’s premier investment club Buckeye Capital Investors.

      This past summer Julia interned at Wells Fargo working in Corporate Market Risk. She has previous internship experience in Public Finance Investment Banking, Marketing, and in Project Finance Investments. 

       

      Will SuhWill Suh

      Will Suh is a junior from Demarest, New Jersey specializing in Finance with a minor in Fashion and Retail Studies at The Ohio State University. As a member of the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program, he was able to receive his certification in financial modeling and valuation from Wall Street Prep. In addition to being a member of the Fisher Futures Investment Banking Program, Will is a co-founder of Buckeye Asset Management, covering the sector of consumer luxury goods, and also serves as the current social chair on the executive board of his fraternity Phi Delta Theta.

      This past summer, Will interned as a wealth management intern for AXA Advisor LLC in New York, responsible for conducting market research and optimizing investment portfolios for clients. He has also gained exposure to a large-scale retail merchandising process while attending the inaugural Abercrombie & Fitch Sophomore Summit Leadership Development Program in April of 2019.

      In his free time, he enjoys working out, keeping up to date with the fashion industry, and watching his favorite soccer team Manchester City play.

      Noah Teeters is a junior from Dayton, Ohio currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance. He was accepted in to the highly selective Fisher Futures Investment Banking program and received his certification in financial modeling and valuation through Wall Street Prep. He was involved with the Investment Banking program his freshman year which prepared him for Fisher Futures. He is also a member of the Finance Honors Program at Ohio State, a faculty-selected cohort that gives a small group of students the chance to learn in a concentrated setting from Fisher’s top professors. 

      During the summer of 2019, Noah completed two internships with the American Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand and UBS Financial Services. With the Chamber of Commerce, Noah served as a research consultant analyzing a new tax incentive that was introduced in New Zealand. In addition, he developed a comprehensive report on the economy in New Zealand and the challenges that American companies face in doing business there. Noah was a Wealth Management intern at UBS where he conducted market research and prepared personalized reports for client meetings.

      On campus, Noah is involved in several different organizations. Noah is a member of the professional fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, where he is an active member of the Investment Committee.       Grayson Stallman is a currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a dual focus on Finance and Economics at The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business. Grayson spent much of his early academic career studying the Financial Crisis of 2008 and analyzing its lasting impacts.
