Project THRIVE Mixer & NABA Reunion

The Department of Accounting & Management Information Systems continually seeks to expand ethnic and cultural diversity as a contributor to intellectual diversity – and as a key factor in our success. We are committed to:

  • Open/Close Office of Diversity & Inclusion Student Services

    The Office of Diversity and Inclusion Student Services embraces diversity and seeks to promote opportunities for excellence to be achieved by all. The goals of the office are to provide quality student counseling, scholarship opportunities, career support services, and tutoring services which meet the needs of diverse undergraduate and graduate students enrolled or intending to enroll in the college. In addition, the office provides services and support internally to campus departments and organizations; and externally to corporations, companies, and agencies which seek to help all students succeed academically, financially and socially.

  • Open/Close Project THRIVE

    Project THRIVE is a new program at Fisher that is providing students with opportunities to grow and succeed in the fields of Accounting and Management Information Systems. THRIVE is a comprehensive program designed to create a community of minority and underrepresented Accounting and MIS students that is equipped to succeed at Fisher and beyond. The initiative, which combines classroom curriculum with co-curricular opportunities, is currently funded in part by PwC, EY, KPMG, and a number of other corporate friends and alumni of Fisher College of Business.

  • Open/Close ACAP Ohio

    ACAP-OHIO (Accounting Careers Awareness Program) is an innovative center development program designed specifically for minority high school students. This fully-supervised, week long summer residency program was developed to give minority students an opportunity to explore careers in accounting and business.

  • Open/Close NABA Student Organization

    The National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. has been the leader in expanding the influence of minority professionals in the fields of accounting and finance since 1969. The goals of the Association include: To promote and develop the professional skills of our members; To encourage and assist minority students in entering the accounting profession; To provide opportunities for members to fulfill their civic responsibility; To ensure long-term financial stability and provide adequate resources to implement chapter, regional, and national programs; and to represent the interests of current and prospective minority accounting professionals.
